    I agree with that 69 analysis: one can’t concentrate: a) on what one’s doing; b) on what one’s getting! It never works for me.
    Happy Canada Day – I don’t celebrate Portugal’s day, I guess that’s what happens when your country is more than 800 years old! (but who’s counting?)

    Actually, no: the foundation dates from 1143 (5th October, the day when the treaty between the portuguese and the Castela king), but Portugal’s national day celebrates the nacionality and not the foudation. Actually, the 5th Oct. is an holiday as well, but celebrating the end of monarchy and the beginning of the republic as a form of government. The thing is that almost no one gives to much importance to both days. I guess we’re so used to it that we don’t care so much about it…
