I liked Marie Antoinette too – and I think that the Academy should create a “best soundtrack” award, Sofia Coppola would certainly win. Strange how the Strokes seemed so contextualized on the 18th century. And I love going to the cinema alone, the late matinées even better – even though it happens rarely these days. (What should I say, having a relationship means compromising, right? Damn, how should I know?)
Great show wanky. Do you really say “ZzzzzZZzzzz” when you sleep? that’s weird.
Hey Wankergirl! I have not talked to you in a while. Just wanted to wish you a happy T-Day from here in the states and to let you know I have been wishing well for you. Hopefully I will talk to you soon!

Another great show, they just keep coming and coming. And they are getting better, not that I’m surprised. I love this girl and I love the fact that she’s not afraid to say everything that comes to mind or sing about it. It’s so refreshing to hear a women talk about loving men, and she’s proud….I love this show, keep going in this direction.
You know, I feel I shoul propose to you after this show. Not like in marriage, but like in asking you to be my very best friend ever because I like what you like and you must have been looking in my brain for things to talk about during this show. Because:
1. I have the Virgin Suicides Soundtrack – BEST EVER!
2. One of my favorite things in life is going to the movies by myself. Freedom. Total Freedom. I can get sucked into the film completely. I get more intimately involved in the movie because, in a theatre, you can lose your sense of self and just be in the movie. No pesky friends with me means I don’t get reminded that I exist outside of the film.
3. Finally, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind blew my fucking mind the first time I saw it. It’s my favorite movie ever. It’s so amazingly creative, and yet so familiar. If you took everything about me that maybe my husband doesn’t understand or agree with, you have Kate Winslet’s character. And the same with Jim Carrey- he’s all the things in my husband that I don’t get, or that drive me insane. Best acting I’ve ever seen out of Kate Winslet, too. So amazing. I told my husband if he didn’t like the movie, we may have to rethink this relationship.
So, see? We totally have to be best friends forever. Maybe we can have a secret handshake. Or make friendship pins for each other. Or maybe I’ll just tell you to fuck off.
(See? BFF!)
I sooooooooo love the music in Lynch films..being a huge Twin Peaks fan ( only DL could find beauty in death through his choice of music ) I LOVE Julee Cruise..
I love Sofia Copolla films ( I have the promotional full soundtrack on LP …all the songs in the movie ) One of my fav films ever is Lost in Translation…
