WankerGirl’s Carrot Cake Recipe
2 Cup Flour
2 Cup Sugar
2 Tsp Baking Soda
2 Tsp Baking Powder
2 Tsp Cinnamon
1 Tsp Salt
1 1/4 Cup Salad Oil
4 Large Eggs
1 Tsp Vanilla
3 Cups Grated Carrots
Sift together dry ingredients. Add oil slowly. Beat well. Add eggs, one at a time, then vanilla. Fold in carrots. Pour into a greased 9×13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes.

    Hey Dana. I baked the carrot cake as you said, at 350 degrees Celcius. Is it normal for the cake to catch fire? I had to use my unit converter, and that equals 650 degrees F for my regular old oven. That’s actually a bit higher than it goes, but I cranked it all the way and let it heat up for an hour for good measure. I also turned on the broiler just so it got some extra heat, but it probably still wasn’t quite hot enough. Just wondering if the cake is supposed to turn out black. Anyway, thanks for the recipe! Do you have any good suggestions for removing smoke damage from the walls of my condo?
